Hey, loves! Ü

Our country may be small in terms of land area, but I know there are tons of wonderful places to visit, we have  Boracay, Palawan, Ilocos, Cebu, Davao, Bataan (I swear this place is really on top of my bucket list!), and many more. One of them is a province called Bataan.

Bataan may not be as popular as Boracay as a travel destination, but that shouldn’t discourage you to visit Bataan.

One of the most popular day trips and weekend and holiday destinations for those living in Manila is the province of Bataan. It has only quite recently entered the mainstream (thanks to new investment in hospitality and recreation).

The first heritage resort in our country is Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. This resort can be found in Bagac, Bataan. That’s why Bataan needs to part of your bucket list. The resort has around 30 heritage structures some were restored and sourced from different parts of the country while others are replicas. Going back in time and walk along Paseo Escolta, ride the first ever tram ran in Manila, and be startled by the artistic details of Hotel De Oriente. A day tour is enough for you to roam around the resort but an overnight stay will definitely complete your going-back-in-time experience (overnight rates may be a bit pricey though).

Here’s my travel vlog about Bataan:

What I love about Bataan is you don’t have to spend so much for transpo, food, accommodation, and side-trips just to have a worthwhile and enjoyable trip. There are tons of bus stations where you can purchase your ticket going to Bataan, or bring your own car, you can also join group tours or you can DIY trip.

Bataan is it has so much to offer — beaches, falls, mountains for hikers, watching migratory birds, and of course historical sites.

This 2017, you should add Bataan in your travel list. I, too, will surely come back to this province. 🙂
