How’s everyone doing? 🙂
Bingsu cravings? I got one for you!
We discovered this affordable and perfect Bingsu place to satisfy your Bingsu cravings.
(Bingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert with toppings like chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and beans.)
Seol & Bean Cafe, a Korean themed café that can be found right behind Gourdo’s, just in front of Café Puccini, very near Puzzles and Early Bird in The Fort Strip. The facade is illuminated by blinding LED signs and lights, so, it’s pretty easy to see at night.
They place is just normal for a dessert stop, spacious, clean and their LED light sign outside the restaurant can be very eye catching.
They have lots of tables and chairs, corners with TV (playing Korean MTVs) and a decent menu.
They offer more than just Bingsu. They have cakes from Purple Oven, pastries, smoothies, coffee and some main course meals like pasta, sandwich, and chicken.
Since this is our third time here, we already tried 3 Bingus from them. We had Blueberry Cheese Bingsu before (sorry guys, got too excited to try the food and I forgot to take picture of this), Mango Cheese Bingsu, and the latest is Oreo Bingsu.
As you can see from the picture, they just added mango and cheesecake cubes for the toppings. It has a scoop of ice cream. They used aluminum bowl so the ice wouldn’t melt fast. The layers of ice were finely shaved – honestly, among the 3 Bingsus we tried, this is my favorite. (happy tummy = happy Bianca!)
Honestly, Oreo Bingsu is the sweetest Bingsu I’ve tried, maybe among the 3 Bingsus we tries, this is my last option.
Seol & Bean’s shaved ice is my newest favorite Bingsu! It has the right amount of creaminess and sweetness without overpowering the taste of mangoes. Everything in Seol & Bean’s is not that expensive (I think). I will definitely keep coming back for more! 🙂
The decor of the cafe is a modern Ikea-looking furnishings. I like the openness with strong natural light emanating from a noticeable section. You can also watch some Korean MTV as our orders were being prepared.
I liked that there wasn’t a lot of people everytime we visit this cafe. It was a lovely and cozy place. This is really a good place for you to hang out with your friends, and chill with your loved ones. You can also bring your laptops here to “Netflix and Chill” with your boyfriend/girlfriend or even do your work! 🙂
(just like what I did! I brought my cute “work” notebook and my laptop to do my work……..
hhmm… okay, i’m just kidding, I really brought my laptop to blog! hihi)
